The Romeo and Juliet's Effect

Yes, that's it!!! The Romeo and Juliet's effect is proving to be contagious, so beware!!! As you know, our students in 4º de ESO are recording The Romeo and Juliet's Videodrama these days, but the story is so overwhelming and catchy that some other groups are also working on it.  The following video shows these other groups' enthusiasm and effort. Hilarious!!!

Colonias de Verano 1º y 2º ESO MEC: Grant Programme 2018

Science Lessons in 1º de ESO

Our students contacting their German friends

Some students will host German friends from Caspar Vischer Gymnasium in Kulmbach, Germany, next October. They have started contacting them by means of videos in English of course!!! In the videos they introduce themselves or give some information about our school or our town. 

The one by Javier Castán Rodríguez ( 2º ESO B ) is a good sample of it. Enjoy watching it as the English teachers have:

Exchange with Caspar Vischer Gymnasium in Kulmbach, Germany

Next October, our school will host fourteen students together with two teachers from Caspar Vischer Gymnasium ( Kulmbach, Germany ). We will be delighted to show them around our town and other places such as Málaga and Granada. They will also attend some of our lessons during their stay. Our German friends wish to learn about our language and culture. English has been chosen as a means of communication, as we cannot speak German and they cannot speak Spanish!!! It will most surely be an amazing experience not only for them, but also for us.

World Book Day at our school

Next 23rd April, we will celebrate World Book Day at school. Outdoors, weather permitting, some students will read out "The Truant", one of the chapters of "Tales of the Alhambra" by Washington Irving. This reading will not only be in Spanish, but also in English and French.

Furthermore, 2º ESO students will design a book mark related to this chapter in art lessons. We look forward to seeing how well they do once again.

Besides there will be a photograph contest: "Saca tu Libro a la Calle 2018". Take great photos and do not miss the chance to get a prize. The photos must show one of the books you have read in class throughout the year or maybe the most appealing literary character for you: Don Quixote, Juliet, Lázaro de Tormes, Madame Bovary...
