"English Audiocuentos Contest" Winner 2018

Our 3º de ESO C student Andrea Moya Ruiz has won the "English Audiocuentos Contest". She based her narration on the reader we have worked on in class this year: Romeo and Juliet. Aenfis school of English in Vélez-Málaga has collaborated with us once again granting free conversation classes for Andrea and a friend of hers. Congratulations, Andrea, and make most of the lessons there!!!

We take English everywhere: even to the III Bienal Internacional de Arte y Escuela de la Axarquía in Torre del Mar!!!

Once more we have taken part in the Bienal Art Exhibition. We couldn't miss it. This year we've been lucky to have our assistant Zianna there as she has conducted the "Con Pelos y a lo Loco" workshop in English!!! We must thank our Art teacher, Lucía Ramírez Montiel, for all the extra work this exhibition has entailed!!! It's been worthwhile.

Sports Session with Northern Irish Coaches

Today 1º, 3º and 4º de ESO students have enjoyed a sports morning under nine native English speaking coaches. Practising sports plus speaking and listening English by native speakers is one of the best ways of learning the language. We guess our students must have noticed their accent was so strong...We thank Michael Chitty, the organiser, and his group of coaches from Northern Ireland because they have come to our school once again this year. UK Culture Class 2018

Today many of our 1º, 2º and 3º de ESO students enjoyed a Culture Class by John Oster from Burlington Books. Apart from learning about double decker buses, tea, Queen Elisabeth II, the Union Jack, haggis, Nessie, Prince Charles, bagpipes... our students improved their listening skills. Our boys and girls got very useful information, learned about culture in the UK and participated a lot as answering was very easy with the provided cards.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

One of our students gets a Unicaja Summer Grant

Our 4º ESO B student, Lucía Corrales Navarro, has been granted a three week summer scholarship for going to the USA next September. Click on the video below and you will check how happy she feels.

Photo Contest winners getting their prize at Aenfis

Yesterday, our three lucky winners, Ashlee Ortega Ledesma 3º ESO C, Ana Fernández Moreno 3º ESO A and Desirée Vacas Aponte 4º ESO A got the prize for their great photos. We took them to Aenfis School of Languages in Vélez-Málaga. They didn't know exactly what the prize was until they arrived at this school: conversation lessons in English together with a friend. Check how happy they were:
